Harmanpreet Kaur’s ‘lack of form is hurting India a lot’

India vs Australia: Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur's performances have raised several questions in the last few months, where she has failed miserably.

Former India wicket-keeper Saba Karim isn’t impressed with the way women’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been batting, which has hampered team’s chances massively, in the last few month, including lost ODI and T20I series’ against Australia.

Harmanpreet scored only three runs in the third T20I, that resulted in another India failure. Karim, in an interaction with Sports 18 said, “This lack of form is hurting India a lot. Harman needs to concentrate on her primary skill, which is batting. Sometimes you start giving a lot of importance to the captaincy role and your focus moves away from your primary skill.”

“You have an experienced support staff. You have Amol Muzumdar and quite a few other players who can take that responsibility. Your captaincy will be better when your batting flourishes.” In the last six internationals innings, she hasn’t even managed to cross the single-digit mark.

Plus, to add to her woes, India lost the limited-overs series against England as well, which does not reflect well on the team.
