India vs Australia 2nd Test – Virat Kohli calls for ‘special team meeting’ : After humiliating drubbing in Adelaide test, Indian team is currently a demoralized lot. Now with captain leaving the ship and Mohammed Shami no more available – the team’s morale is further dented. To lift the morale of the depleted Indian team – Virat Kohli has called for a ‘special meeting of the team’ before he departs from Australia on Tuesday.

According to the information available with InsideSport, Kohli will address the entire team collectively today in a session initiated by coach Ravi Shastri. Post the session, Kohli will spend sometime with each member of the team individually. The whole purpose of the exercise is to lift the morale of each and every member of the team. According to the sources close to the team management – in individual session, Kohli will stress on role of each individual.

’We have lost one game very badly but 3 tests are still remaining. Virat will try to motivate the team members by addressing them collectively and individually. The morale of the team will surely be lifted by this, the message would be straight that no matter what captain will always be on their side’, told a source close to the team management.

According to the informed source, Kohli’s replacement as captain Ajinkya Rahane will also be part of one on one sessions with Indian team members. Rahane will also speak to the team members and discuss their roles and responsibilities.

The source further told InsideSport that during his break as well, Kohli will constantly stay in touch with the team through the team’s WhatsApp Group. It is worth noting that Indian team has a WhatsApp group through which team members constantly stays in touch with each other.

Kohli will stay in touch with the team through this group while on break.

India vs Australia 2nd Test : After drubbing in 1st Test, team India all set to make 4-5 changes in the playing XI

India vs Australia 2nd Test – 4-5 changes likely in Indian playing XI for Boxing Day Test : Meanwhile, team India is also set to ring in a couple of changes for the Boxing Day Test as they aim to bounce back in the four-match Test series against Australia.

Virat Kohli’s unavailability and Prithvi Shaw’s indifferent form with the bat have opened gates for KL Rahul and Shubman Gill, who are the prime contenders to take those two spots in the batting order. Also, wicketkeeper/batsman Wriddhiman Saha is set to be replaced with Rishabh Pant, while Mohammed Shami, who has been ruled out of the Test series due to fractured arm, is likely to be replaced by Mohammed Siraj.

Another likely change could be in form of Hanuman Vihari being dropped for Ravindra Jadeja. The Indian allrounder is fit now and is likely to make a comeback at No.6 position in place of Vihari.
