Afghanistan will face Rohit Sharma and Co. in a three-match ODI series in March next year. The series will be a huge plus for the visitors, with the 50-over World Cup scheduled to be held in India a year after their tour. Afghanistan’s tour of India will be the first since the Indians hosted Asghar Stanikzai’s team for a Test in 2018. The Men in Blue had won the contest with ease, with Shikhar Dhawan scoring a fine century to ensure that the red-ball game ended in three days.

The release bears no mention of the postponed test against Australia after the reigning T20 world Champions had cancelled the one-off Test earlier this year. The release said that the cricket board was also working on rescheduling their series against Pakistan and New Zealand, and were in talks with both cricket boards.
