India are one of the most successful nations in this tourrnament, having won it four times while reaching the final in the last edition only to go down against a spirited Bangladesh U19 in the summit clash. Against Ireland, the Yash Dhull led team once again enter as favourites.
The skipper is leading the batting by example, having already scored back-to-back fifties in the warm-up matches. Against South Africa he once again showed his potential by playing a classy knock. India were off to a wobbling start with both the openers, Harnoor Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi getting dismissed in quick succession. The skipper came into bat when the scores were 11-2 and his valuable knock helped India post a winning total. Against Ireland he will once again be the main batsman to watch out for.
Apart from Yash Dhull, India also has Shaikh Rasheed, who was the highest-run scorer in the U19 Asia Cup held recently. Opener Harnoor Singh was the second-highest run scorer in the tournament and he will look to get back to scoring runs after managing just one run in the first game.

The bowling department too is oozing with talent with Pacers Rajvardhan Hangargekar and Ravi Kumar along with Raj Bawa and Vicky Ostwal. Left-arm spinner Nishant Sindhu too impressed in the last game conceding just 22 runs in his 10 overs.
Against Uganda, Ireland’s batting struggled to get going as no other batsmaen apart from centurion Jamie Cox managed to score even a fifty. Against a strong Indian bowling line-up, Ireland batters must look to get their act together. Left-arm spinner Matthew Humphreys impressed in the last game by picking up four wickets and he will hope to continue his good show. Off-spinner Nathan Maguire too conceded just 29 runs in his quota of 10 overs, picking up two wickets and if their batting clicks well, then Ireland can hope to pose a big challenge to the Boys in Blue.
