The India U19 team has already qualified for the U19 World Cup 2024 Final after beating hosts South Africa on February 6. Skipper Uday Saharan and Sachin Dhas pulled an incredible heist in Benoni to take their side home. With the final scheduled to be played on February 11, the Men in Blue should be toiling hard in the nets.
Well, that’s not how the Uday Saharan-led team is preparing for the U19 World Cup Final. Instead of training in the gym or practicing in the nets, the India U19 has decided to watch the second semifinal to determine who they’ll face on the 11th.
With both the semifinals and the final being played in Benoni at Willowmoore Park, it makes sense for the Men in Blue to prepare for their opponent by watching them play live.
India’s highest wicket-taker Saumy Pandey, fast bowler Raj Limbani, and skipper Saharan were captured watching the intense PAK vs AUS U19 semifinal from the sidelines. Having already been tested by South Africa at Benoni, the Men in Blue will be ready for their upcoming challenge. India has faced Pakistan once, and Australia twice in U19 World Cup Finals.
