India Tour of Sri Lanka: All-rounder Krunal Pandya’s close contacts Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham have tested positive for COVID-19. The two were among the eight players who were self-isolating after Krunal’s positive test on Tuesday. Shikhar Dhawan’s Team India lost the three-match T20 series to Sri Lanka on Thursday after the squad was depleted to just 11 players apart from net bowlers.
India Tour of Sri Lanka: Yuzvendra Chahal & Krishnappa Gowtham along with six other cricketers apart from Krunal Pandya will stay back in Colombo while the rest of the team will return on Friday as per ESPN Cricinfo.

At around 4 pm on Friday, the Shikhar Dhawan-led side, barring five players, landed in Bangalore by a charter flight from Colombo. BCCI is also making arrangements for SHAW & Surya to reach UK from Colombo itself

@13:15 PM: Although Krishnappa Gowtham and Yuzvendra Chahal tested negative in the 1st round of RT-PCR tests, they returned positive on Friday in the 2nd test as per Sri Lankan medical officers.

India Tour of Sri Lanka: Being close contacts of Krunal, they were staying away from the rest of the team and didn’t participate in the last two T20Is after Krunal’s test came positive. Krunal Pandya, meanwhile, was shifted to a different hotel.

“Unfortunately, they have tested positive. They were close contacts of Krunal and were already away from the rest of the squad in the team hotel,” a BCCI source told ANI.
