India tour of NewZealand: Members of India’s T20 World Cup semi-finals exit squad like Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Harshal Patel left for Auckland from Adelaide for their limited-overs tour of New Zealand. At the Adelaide airport, the Indian team did not receive a large reception from the fans as they departed for their respective locations after a humiliating loss to England. However, the big transition for India ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup, might begin in New Zealand with Pandya leading the troop in the shortest format. For the tour, players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul have been rested.

Incidentally, NewZealand were knocked out of the T20 WC 2022 in the semi-finals as well.

India tour of New Zealand

On November 18 in Wellington, a three-match T20I series will kick off the India tour of New Zealand in 2022. Following the series, an equal number of ODIs will be played beginning on November 25.

Three games in the T20I series will take place on November 18, 20, and 22. The first T20I will take place at Sky Stadium in Wellington. Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui is where the second T20I will be played. McLean Park in Napier will serve as the game’s venue. Hardik Pandya is set to lead India in the T20I series.

The first ODI in the match between India and New Zealand is scheduled for November 25 at Auckland’s Eden Park. The second ODI will be played on November 27 at Hamilton’s Seddon Park. While t the third ODI will be played at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on November 30.  In the ODI series, India will be led by Shikhar Dhawan.
