India Tour of England: Rahul keen to continue his good form in Test cricket

  • Rahul was a revelation the last time India toured England in 2021. He saw off the new ball most often and provided the team good start
  • The 30-year-old has so far scored 526 runs in 12 innings in England. Rahul scored a sublime hundred in the first Test in 2021
  • The right-hand batter is a crucial player in the Test team. With India leading the series 2-1 in England, Rahul will be eager to prove his class
  • His role at the top will yet again be to see off the Dukes ball and negate the threat posed by James Anderson and Stuart Broad with the new ball

“He should be available for the Test in England but it’s too early to say anything. What we know so far is that the injury is not very serious but he was withdrawn from the South Africa series as a precaution,” the BCCI official said.
