India tour of England – Virat Kohli & Team’s Football Match: It is a known fact that India skipper Virat Kohli is pretty serious about training routines, be it nets sessions or just strength and mobility training. But as Team India reassembled in Durham for warm-up matches against County XI, it was a different avatar of Kohli, poking fun at his teammates’ football skills and enjoying the light-hearted session without a cent of worry. Perhaps the much-needed break did wonders for Team India.

India tour of England: In a video shared by the BCCI, Virat Kohli was seen making fun of his teammate’s heading skills, mimicking the comic move while bursting into laughter and rolling on the ground. Shortly after that, Prasidh Krishna, who is a standby player on the tour, misjudged a ball and failed to receive it, thus proving again that they are yet to get better at football skills. But as they return to the field, the aim is to beat England and win the series against Joe Root & Co and the preparations begin in Durham. The post also provided insight into Team India coach R Sridhar’s birthday celebrations, with Ravichandran Ashwin and others dutifully plastering the cake on his face.

India tour of England: Virat Kohli and Co. reported to Durham for their training sessions, as they look to get back into shape ahead of their tour game against a select County XI. The tour is of great importance for Team India, as they look to bounce back from their World Test Championship Final loss to New Zealand last month.

Team India put in the hard yards on the field as they reported to Durham to begin their preparations for the upcoming five-Test series against England. In a video shared by BCCI, snippets from a variety of drills as Virat Kohli and Co. sweated out in their first training session. The squad had a couple of sprinting exercises with the focus of Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ajinkya Rahane and Mohammed Siraj before the action shifted to a game of football and some fielding drills.

India Tour of England: Virat Kohli’s Team India reach Durham for warm-up matches ahead of Test series against England- Virat Kohli-led India on Friday reached Durham to play a three-day practice match. Team India will begin their preparations for the upcoming five-match Test series against England with a warm-up game at Emirates Riverside against County XI starting on Tuesday. The players sweat it out during a practice session and also celebrated the birthday of fielding coach R Sridhar, BCCI tweeted.

Meanwhile, members of the Indian cricket team other than two positive cases of Rishabh Pant and a member of the support staff – have tested negative, as per information available on insidesport.co.

According to the BCCI sources – all Indian team players including all 3 quarantined members of the team i.e wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, back-up opener Abhimanyu Easwaran & bowling coach Bharat Arun have all tested negative in the first round of RT-PCR Tests. However, the four personnel are undergoing 10-day isolation and will remain in their respective rooms in the team hotel in London as per COVID-19 protocols.

India will play against Will Rhodes’s County Select XI in a three-day practice match starting July 20 (Tuesday). The players have been asked to regroup in Durham immediately after COVID-19 positive cases were reported from the team.
