Longer window for IPL: The BCCI has also been contemplating a longer window for IPL 2023 and a window for Women’s IPL. While BCCI already held talks with other boards on WIPL window, BCCI seeks support for a longer IPL 2023 window.

“It (longer window for IPL) will be a part of the discussions but it’s not the only one. ECB has been very supportive of the BCCI, especially in regards to Women’s IPL and IPL. And we will have plenty to talk about,” the BCCI official told InsideSport.

Although many in the BCCI have floated the idea of a longer IPL in 2023 and held discussions with ICC officials during IPL 2022, it expects to face a lot of opposition.
