Ravindra Jadeja has been out of action since India’s group-stage match vs Hong Kong in the Asia Cup, with the all-rounder undergoing surgery for the same. The 33-year-old missed India’s T20 World Cup campaign and has been ruled out of the Bangladesh ODIs, but his availability for Test matches is yet unconfirmed.

The BCCI named Shahbaz Ahmed as his replacement in ODIs, with the RCB and Bengal star enjoying a breakthrough season this year. It is hoped that Jadeja returns to action in time for the Test series, with no replacement named yet. Should he be ruled out, Saurabh Kumar will be the favourite for the spot. The UP all-rounder is part of India’s A squad to Bangladesh.

Kuldeep and Shahbaz were initially named in the squad for the 3-match ODI series in New Zealand starting 25th November in Auckland. However, they will now be a part of the squad travelling to Bangladesh. No replacements have been named for the ODI squad currently in New Zealand.
