The BCCI has announced the schedule for the home series during 2023-24. India will start the new year, i.e 2024 against Afghanistan in a 3-match T20I series, but what follows next will be extremely crucial. India will welcome England for a five-match Test series starting from 25th January at Hyderabad.
Test cricket will then take over as India will host England for a five-match Test series starting on 25th January 2024. The exciting Test series will be played at Hyderabad, Vizag, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharamsala.
Team India to play, 3 ODIs, 5 Tests & 8 T20s vs Australia, Afghanistan & England
The last time the English side traveled to India was back in 2021 when the hosts stumbled to a humiliating 4-1 series loss. England took the lead in the series by winning the Chennai Test by 227 runs, but India came back strongly in the next three Tests at Chennai and Ahmedabad to seal the series with a 4-1 win.

It will be a busy schedule for the Indian team in the remainder of the 2023 season. BCCI has confirmed India Cricket Schedule for home matches till March 2024. The new home series begins with three-match ODI series against Australia that will serve as the preparations for World Cup 2023. Following the World Cup, India will play Australia again in the 5-match T20 series in November-December. After Rohit Sharma & Co are back from South Africa, they will face Afghanistan before the big 5-match Test series against England in January-March.
