India thrash Sri Lanka to reach finals of U19 Asia Cup, sets date with Bangladesh

India will face Bangladesh in the finals of the U19 Asia Cup

The young India Cricket Team has gone on to thrash Sri Lanka in the semi-finals of the U19 Asia Cup. And with that, the young guns have now set a date with Bangladesh in the finals of the tournament. Indian captain Mohamed Amaan went on to slam a fine sixer to end the misery for the Lankans.

India humiliate Sri Lanka in Semi finals

India were tasked to chase 174 runs in 50 overs in the semi-finals of the U19 Asia Cup. Sharujan Shanmuganathan (42) and Lakvin Abeysinghe (69) helped his side post a decent total on the board, but it was no match for the mighty Indians. Chetan Sharma bowled well for the young Boys in Blue as he went on to scalp a three-wicket haul.

In reply, the Indians started off on a fiery note. Ayush Mhatre set the pace with his strong knock of 34 runs. He was accompanied by young prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi who continued his blistering form. The 13-year old, went on to hammer 67 runs from just 36 deliveries.

The final touches of the match were laid out by the captain Mohamed Amaan and KP Karthikeya. And in the end, it was the Indian captain who finished the game and took India into te finals with a massive sixer.
