Kohli and Rohit played some crisp drives on the up and looked in good touch which will reduce the concerns of the management. Rishabh Pant looked measured in the crease trying to curb his antics as he struggles to find a regular spot in the side.
A special effort was made as the players tried to get used to the pace and bounce on offer. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda were seen pulling the ball off the front foot, while Dinesh Karthik and Axar Patel played their very own versions of the uppercut.

The bowlers meanwhile bowled the hard lengths as they try to figure out their own lengths in Australia. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh bowled full title in the nets and the trio are key to India’s chances with Jasprit Bumrah ruled out. Yuzvendra Chahal also rolled his arm over as did Ravichandran Ashwin.
Fielding coach T Dilip also put the squad through a series of fielding drills, with Rohit Sharma’s side guilty of having dropped a few sitters lately. The focus was placed on completing low catches cleanly while also being mindful of the boundary rope in the deep.
India will play Western Australia in another warm up clash on October 13. The Men in Blue will then clash against Australia and New Zealand in the IC scheduled warmup fixxtures. Rohit Sharma’s side open their campaign against rivals Pakistan on October 23.
