INDIA Squad WTC Final 2023: Key Pointers
- Indian batting attack will be lead by experienced trio of Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane.
- Rohit Sharma, the India skipper will open with Shubman Gill.
- While KL Rahul will beef up the middle-order.
- KS Bharat is selected as designated wicket-keeper.

Return of Ajinkya Rahane
For a considerable amount of time, Ajinkya Rahane has been missing from India’s Test squad. Despite this, he is still a technically proficient batsman with international playing experience.
Rahane produced a match-winning century in 2020-21 BGT, which was crucial to India’s historic series victory over Australia. After being absent from the squad for some time, many believed that his career was ended.
Rahane, however, had other ideas. He was chosen by Chennai Super Kings for the IPL 2023 season, and since then, he has played some match-winning innings for the team, demonstrating his promise and prowess.
Selectors have now shown faith in him again for the upcoming WTC Final as a result of this.
