After India’s remarkable victory in the T20 World Cup 2024, a photograph emerged showing Rohit lying in bed, cradling the T20 World Cup trophy. The image instantly evoked memories of Messi’s triumphant celebration with the FIFA World Cup trophy last year.

Rohit’s gesture not only echoed Messi’s emotions but also showed the befitting end of years of hard work and dedication. India win T20 World Cup after 17 years

India set a record target of 177 in a T20 World Cup final, thanks to Virat Kohli’s impressive 76-run innings. Despite losing wickets, Kohli anchored the innings and accelerated in the final overs. Shivam Dube added a crucial 27-run cameo, helping India reach 176.

In their defense, India took wickets, but Quinton de Kock and Tristan Stubbs kept South Africa in contention. Heinrich Klaasen’s explosive batting almost turned the game in the Proteas’ favor. However, India’s brilliant death bowling led to the crucial wickets of Klaasen, de Kock, and David Miller. Ultimately, India held their nerve and secured a seven-run victory, clinching their second T20 World Cup title.
