India vs Zimbabwe: And all done and dusted! The Indian cricket team have registered a series win over the Chevrons in style. As the Men in Blue won the fourth T20 International against Zimbabwe by 10 wickets, thanks to Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal’s impeccable 156-run partnership. This led India to clinch the series with a 3-1 margin. On one hand, we witnessed Jaiswal’s ‘almost hundred’ innings of 93 off 53 balls, and on the other hand, we saw Tushar Deshpande’s debut. At the age of 29, he became one of the oldest debutants for India in T20Is.
IND vs ZIM: Who scored 10/10?
Shubman Gill (9.5)
Starting from the skipper, Shubman Gill, who absolutely supported India’s innings with the bat along with Jaiswal and scored an impressive 58 off 39 balls. With his favorite short-arm jab, he has scored many runs and deserves a 9.5 for today’s performance.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (10/10):
And then comes the southpaw who single-handedly took the game from Zimbabwe with his fiery innings of 93 runs off 53 balls. It is only right to say he snatched the 10/10 score. From the first over, where he smashed Richard Ngarava for 15 runs, it was the first nail in the coffin, and from there, he took the game single-handedly.
Shivam Dube (8/10)
Now looking at another pacer, Shivam Dube, who is slowly and steadily getting more chances to showcase his bowling skills. India is always in search of a fast-bowling all-rounder who can do wonders with both bat and ball. His performance of 11 runs in 2 overs, along with 2 wickets, gives the impression that he is becoming more economical while also taking wickets, which is a huge boost for India.
Abhishek Sharma (7/10)
While not with the bat, this time he shone with the ball. Sharma excelled with just 3 overs bowled, conceding only 20 runs and picking up the wicket of Tadiwanashe Marumani. Sharma has consistently trained as the sixth bowler for India, and performances like these will provide nothing but an advantage.
Ravi Bishnoi (7/10)
Bishnoi continues to dominate Zimbabwe with his spicy spin. After taking four wickets in the first game, he has maintained his form, conceding only 22 runs in 4 overs with an economy rate of 5.50. This clearly makes him one of the best bowlers for India in the middle overs of T20Is.
Tushar Deshpande (6/10)
Now talking about debutant Tushar Deshpande, he bowled 3 overs, conceding 30 runs and picking up one wicket. Although there were high expectations for him, as he was fast-tracked ahead of Harshit Rana, cricket viewers were hoping to see the KKR emerging bowler ahead of Deshpande.
Speaking more about Deshpande, his bowling has seen significant improvement; while he is known for taking wickets, he has often struggled to control the flow of runs, which is now getting under control.
Khaleel Ahmed (6/10)
Khaleel Ahmed continues to impress, but his problem is similar to Tushar Deshpande’s, as Khaleel was put under pressure for giving away extra runs, especially in the first six overs of the powerplay, where there are opportunities to create chances as a pace bowler. Conceding 32 runs in his 4 overs and picking up 2 wickets helps him earn a score of 6 out of 10 in this game.
Washington Sundar (6/10)
Looking at another spin-bowling all-rounder, Washington Sundar, who is on track to become a reliable option in T20I cricket. Along with Axar Patel, he did a decent job, conceding 32 runs in 4 overs with a slightly higher economy but also picked up a wicket.
