India Player Rating vs AUS: Rohit Sharma’s masterclass guides Men in blue into semifinals

With their handsome win over a dangerous Australian side, India have stepped into the semis! But which Indian player grabbed the headline and proved to be the cornerstone in this 24-run win?

And India have continued their dominant run in the T20 World Cup 2024 as they recorded sixth-consecutive victory. This time, it was Australia, who were ransacked with a 24-run defeat. After being put to bat first, the Men in Blue started on a breathtaking note, courtesy of captain Rohit Sharma. The Hitman almost hit a sensational century but was bowled on 92. Then came Hardik Pandya, who took India over 200. While Travis Head gave nightmares of previous ICC knockout matches, none of the other Aussie batters got hold of the pitch as they were restricted to 181/7.

India Player Ratings vs AUS: Who scored 10/10?

Rohit Sharma (10/10): Rohit Sharma’s batting was incredible! He blasted 92 runs in just 41 balls, hitting the ball with utter disdain. Even though he didn’t reach 100 runs, the way he dominated the bowlers was amazing to watch. He hit the boundary line many times, with 7 fours and a whopping 8 sixes.

Virat Kohli (0/10): A painstaking 5-ball duck by none other than Kohli. The horror of T20 World Cup 2024 continued King Kohli, who has averaged just 11.00 and has scored only 66 runs in the tournament thus far.

Rishabh Pant (4/10): In his 15-ball stay, Pant looked in great touch but failed to make his start count. He was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood. However, his wicket-keeping left a lot to be desired.

Suryakumar Yadav (8.8/10): SKY with his blazing cameo, hit 31 runs in just 16 balls. While Rohit made merry on one end, Suryakumar didn’t eat up deliveries and struck at a rate of 193.75. SKY even took a great catch of David Warner at slips.

Shivam Dube (7/10): While Shivam Dube did score 28, he wouldn’t be convinced of his performance. India have given him a long rope in this tournament and the big southpaw should do well in the semis.

Hardik Pandya (7.8/10): Terrific with the bat, ordinary with the ball. That’s how the day went for KungFu Pandya, who has been the major highlight for India thus far. He gave a much-needed impetus during the death overs, hammering 27 off 17. His bowling, however, was taken for 47 runs in 4 overs.

Ravindra Jadeja (4/10): Perhaps the most average Indian player on the field today, Ravindra Jadeja failed to contribute massively. While he did hit a six in the last over, Jaddu was taken for as many as 17 runs in his only over!

Axar Patel (9/10): Wow! Axar took perhaps the catch of the tournament to dismiss Mitchell Marsh. It wasn’t only a splendid catch but a crucial moment in the game that turned the encounter in India’s favour. With the ball, Bappu claimed the wicket of Stoinis and had a superb economy rate of 7.0.

Jasprit Bumrah (8/10): While it wasn’t a tormenting spell by Jasprit Bumrah, it was frugal enough to contain the Aussie batters. Bumrah got the all-important scalp of Travis Head, coupled with a superb death bowling display.

Kuldeep Yadav (9.5/10): Kuldeep Yadav spun a web and was almost unplayable on what was a decent deck in Gros Islet. The chinaman took two wickets and was taken away for just 24. His wicket of Maxwell was a great one, dismissing the Big Show with a tricky googly.

Arshdeep Singh (9/10): Arshdeep Singh continued to pluck away wickets as he added three more to his tally. Leaking 37 runs, Arshdeep was great with both new and old ball.
