India on the verge of smashing Pakistan’s record of most T20I wins

Team India are eyeing a big record as they gear up for the IND vs AUS 3rd T20. Suryakumar Yadav & Co are on the verge of smashing Pakistan’s record of Most T20I wins. India will eye their 136th win in the format as they take on Australia at Barsapara Stadium on Tuesday.

Suryakumar Yadav’s leadership has been a huge success for India’s first two T20 matches. Already up 2-0, India can become the most successful T20I side in history. With 135 wins in 211 games, India are now equal with Pakistan on most wins.

Pakistan have won 135 games as well in 226 matches. The Indian Cricket Team are currently on a 12-series unbeaten streak at home turf with their last loss coming against Australia back in February of 2019.

India’s performance in IND vs AUS

Under Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy, the Indian Cricket Team has been outstanding in the first two T20I matches against Australia. The Indian team had won the opening T20 by two wickets. 

India had won the second match by 44 runs because of a  powerful performance from the batsmen. Batting first, the Indian team scored 235 runs while losing four wickets, while Australia could only reach 191 runs while losing nine wickets.

The Indian batsmen have showcased commendable performances in both matches against Australia. Ishan Kishan has been particularly impressive, notching up two half-centuries in consecutive matches. Additionally, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad have also been prolific, contributing significantly to the team’s run tally.

Suryakumar Yadav showcased a dominating performance, wreaking havoc on Australia’s bowling in the opening games of the series. Subsequently, Rinku Singh took centre stage with his dynamic performance during the concluding overs of both matches. In the second T20, Rinku achieved a remarkable feat by scoring 31 runs in just 9 balls, boasting a strikingly high strike rate of 344.
