India in Pakistan for Champions Trophy? PCB chairman likely to meet Jay Shah in Dubai – Report

India had last visited Pakistan in 2008, and since then haven't been to neighboring country on account of security.

The PCB is leaving no stone unturned to get Pakistan all ready to host the Champions Trophy 2025. But the suspicion over India touring Pakistan, still remains. Now, as per a report in GeoSuper.tv, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi is all set to meet ICC head honcho Jay Shah. The duo are expected to meet during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup final in Dubai.

The report further read that the PCB is awaiting the final approval of the Champions Trophy schedule in order to make logistical arrangements. For now, it seems only provisional bookings have been made, on the basis of the proposed schedule. Meanwhile, the meeting could also put an end to the debate, if the Indian team will go to Pakistan.

India, for long has not visited Pakistan on the basis of security concerns. But, an ICC delegation had visited Pakistan to review venues like Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Lahore. The ICC gave their security clearance as well — to these venues.

It is important to note that the ICC delegation included the likes of Sarah Edgar, Senior Manager of Events, Aun Muhammad Zaidi, Event Manager and Champions Trophy Event Lead, Wasim Khan, General Manager of Cricket, David Masker, Security Manager’, Mansoor Manj, Broadcast Consultant.
