‘India favourites to win T20 World Cup’: English legend ditches own country to bet on Rohit Sharma and co

Morgan noted that even the players India haven't selected for the T20 World Cup 2024 are extraordinarily talented.

According to former England captain Eoin Morgan, India will be the best team competing in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Before the tournament, in an interview with Sky Sports. Morgan stated that India can defeat any other team by a sizable margin due to their extraordinary squad depth and talent.

Morgan, who competed in the 2016 T20 World Cup final and helped England win the ODI World Cup in 2019, noted that even the players India haven’t selected for the T20 World Cup 2024 are extraordinarily talented.

And it’s almost probably, we’re talking about who the players that were missed out in their squad of 15 because of the quality that they possess,” Morgan said.

In the most recent T20 World Cups, India have not performed well. They were eliminated from the Super 12 stage in 2021 following consecutive defeats to Pakistan and New Zealand. India had a fantastic run in the 2022 World Cup, but they were destroyed by England in the semi-final.
