While KL Rahul won’t be part of the T20 squad for the upcoming series against South Africa, he’s set to lead the Indian team in the One Day Internationals (ODIs) and play a pivotal role in the Test series.

The month-long tour, starting on December 10, holds immense significance as Team India strives to hone its skills ahead of the T20 World Cup scheduled in the United States and West Indies next year.

In a promotional video for the series, Rahul, even though not featuring in the T20s, expressed his confidence in India’s capabilities and acknowledged the challenges of facing South Africa in their home conditions. His leadership and batting prowess will be crucial for India’s success on this challenging tour.

Despite not being a part of the T20 squad, Rahul’s impact in ODIs and Tests is undeniable. In ODIs against South Africa, he has accumulated 76 runs in three matches at an average of 25.33, including a notable half-century. In Tests, Rahul boasts a commendable record with 256 runs in five matches at an average of 25.60, featuring one century and a fifty.
