Major changes in Duleep trophy teams after India call ups: Know all the replacements

India's Test squad call-ups have led to several replacements in the Duleep Trophy teams. Key players like Shubman Gill and KL Rahul will not be available for the domestic tournament.

India’s Test season is back, and Team India has announced their squad for the first Test against Bangladesh on Sunday. Key Indian players, who were in action at the Duleep Trophy, have been called up to the squad, resulting in replacements for the ongoing Duleep Trophy in the domestic teams.

India A Replacements in Duleep Trophy

India A captain Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Kuldeep Yadav, and Akash Deep have been called up for the first Test against Bangladesh, so they will not feature in the next Duleep Trophy match.

The selectors have named Pratham Singh (Railways) as a replacement for Gill, Akshay Wadkar (Vidarbha CA) for KL Rahul, and SK Rasheed (Andhra CA) for Jurel. Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani will replace Kuldeep in the squad, while Aaqib Khan (UPCA) will replace Akash Deep. Karnataka player Mayank Agarwal has been named the captain of India A.

India B Replacements in Duleep Trophy

India B’s Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have been named in India’s squad for the Bangladesh series. Therefore, the selectors have named Goan all-rounder Suyash Prabhudesai and star batter Rinku Singh as replacements. As a replacement for Pant, MP’s wicketkeeper-batter Himanshu Mantri has also been added to the squad. India C has no replacements so far.

India D Replacements in Duleep Trophy

Axar Patel has moved from Team D to Team India, with Nishant Sindhu (Haryana CA) taking his place. Tushar Deshpande is unable to play in the second round due to a minor injury, so Vidwath Kaverappa from India A will take his place.
