Leaving balls in cricket is an art but Shubman Gill had a stroke-less death in the ongoing India A vs India B Duleep Trophy opener at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was indeed a bizarre way to lose his wicket as the IND A skipper left the ball only to lose his off-stump in process.

While no doubt it was a peach of a delivery by Navdeep Saini, Gill undid himself by not covering up his stumps. The ball, landed near the fifth-stump area pegged back in sharply. However, Gill shouldered his arms and watched the ball uproot his stumps, that broke the opening partnership of 57 runs. In the next Navdeep Saini over, he sent back Mayank Agarwal, who nudged one down the leg before Rishabh Pant plucked a sensational catch to his left.
