This ODI series though will unlike be any other bilateral ODI series between IND vs WI as both teams and fans are set for an altogether different experience.   • For the first time ever the series will not have a private satellite broadcaster. It will only be Live Streamed on FanCode and DD
  • For the first time in history, India will play all 3 ODI matches in one venue in West Indies’ Port of Spain

IND vs WI 1st ODI Live: DD and FanCode to broadcast all the three ODI matches –  In a first for Indian cricket, India tour of West Indies will not be broadcasted LIVE by any PRIVATE SATELLITE Channel. Rather, three ODIs and five matches T20 series will just be LIVE Streamed by Dream11 parent entity-owned OTT platform FanCode.

The Sports OTT platform now has partnered with DD Prasar Bharti to broadcast the matches LIVE on DD Freedish

This is for the first time after a very long time that matches involving Indian cricket will be broadcasted on a Free to Air (FTA) platform.

Prasar Bharati CEO Mayank Kumar Agrawal said, “Cricket is the undisputed leader in sports & entertainment in India. Even in the fast-growing digital age, there continues to be a significant market and audience for sports consumption on television, and we are glad to bring the upcoming India tour of the West Indies to the masses through DD Sports. While FanCode is building a unique digital experience for sports fans, their extension of rights to DD Sports will mean wider access to all sports fans for the series.”

IND vs WI 1st ODI Live: All three ODI matches will be played in Port of Spain – Over the years, IND vs WI ODI series has been played through different venues. But this time, the three ODI matches are all set to be played in Port of Spain.

Also, this will be the first time India has sent a second-string team to play three ODI matches against West Indies. As many as eight India regular players will not take in ODI-led of the Caribbean tour. Dhawan will lead the team which sees the likes of Snaju Samson, Deepak Hooda, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Pooran feels “so many Indian players skipping the ODI series makes their job a little easier, even though nothing can be taken for granted. They have millions of players who can come and do that role” Pooran said.
