Sri Lanka Women, on the other hand, booked their final berth after defeating Pakistan women by six wickets. Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will be favourites to secure a gold on Monday as they hold a superior 10-1 record against the Sri Lanka Women’s team.
Sri Lanka is the first team to have advanced to both their quarterfinal and semifinal while completing both games. Both times, they bowled first, limiting the opponent to a low total, and then expertly chasing. Although it could be more difficult to carry it out against a highly skilled Indian team, they might have a similar brief today.
