IND-W vs ENG-W: BCCI appreciates Indian women team’s performance in second T20I – Share video – Indian women’s team bounced back in a strong fashion to level the series by winning the second T20I of the series by eight runs on Sunday. Deepti Sharma was named Player of the match for her outstanding bowling performance. BCCI women shared a video on their official Twitter account of the team enjoying the victory.

IND-W vs ENG-W: In the video, Harleen Deol, Sneh Rana and Deepti Sharma opened up about India’s performance in the game.

Harleen Deol after the match said,” It was an amazing game, a nail-biting finish. And that’s what we play for.”

Sneh Rana stated, “Deepti Sharma gave us a good start in bowling and we had a great bowling partnership. She kept it very tight. She hardly bowled any loose balls and the match shifted in our favour.”

IND-W vs ENG-W: Deepti Sharma while praising Rana said, “It is very difficult to bowl in the powerplay. Sneh Rana bowled beautifully in the powerplay. She gave away just 2, 3 runs in it. The match turned from there. We were bowling in partnership.”

Chasing 149, England got off to a bad start as opener Danni Wyatt (3) perished in just the second over bowled by Arundhati Reddy. Soon after, Natalie Sciver (1) was run-out in the third over and England was reduced to 31/2.

IND-W vs ENG-W: However, Tammy Beaumont continued with her carnage and as a result, England’s score read 52/2 by the end of the powerplay overs. Skipper Heather Knight and Beaumont kept the scoreboard ticking and the hosts needed 69 runs off the final ten overs for the win.

Knight and Beaumont put on 75 runs for the third wicket, but this partnership finally came to an end in the 14th over as Beaumont (59) was sent back to the pavilion by Deepti Sharma. Soon after, Knight (30) was dismissed and England was reduced to 106/4, still needing 43 runs for the win.

IND-W vs ENG-W: With this win, India has kept itself in the series and if the visitors win the final match, then the scoreline will be levelled.
