IND-W vs BAN-W LIVE: India crush Bangladesh, gives HUGE-BOOST to hopes of qualifying for SEMIFINALS of ICC Women World CUP

India Crush Bangladesh: Defending a modest total of 227, Indian spinners completely destroyed Bangladesh batting. Bangladesh lost their first five wickets for just 35 runs on board.

For India Sneh Rana took 4 wickets. Seasoned Jhulan Goswami and Pooja Vastrakar got two wickets a piece.

Indian Innings: Earlier Yastika Bhatia’s fifty, Mandhana’s 42 helped India post a respectable total in an otherwise lacklustre batting display. Richa Ghosh and Vastrakar played crucial cameos to help India cross the 200-runs mark and eventually propel the Women in Blue to 227/9 in 50 overs.

India in ICC Women World Cup Points Table – Women WC Semifinal Scenario: India has now moved to No. 3 in ICC Women WC Points Table with 3rd victory in 6 matches. India will now play South Africa in their last league game on Sunday.

If they beat South Africa in the last league match, they will directly QUALIFY for SEMIFINALS. If India lose the match, they will have to depend on the results of other LEAGUE MATCHES.

Bangladesh meanwhile has crashed out of the Semifinals RACE with defeat against India.

Mithali Raj: We’ll have a bat. The same wicket was used for the last game. It’s slow and there’s turn for spinners. We would like to use the wicket first and put up a good score.

Nigar Sultana, Bangladesh Captain: We would have liked to bat first too. But our bowling unit has been good. We’re looking to better our bowling and restrict them. We have two changes: Murshida comes in for Shamima. Fariha Trisna makes way for Lata Mondal

ICC Women WC LIVE –  India cannot afford to take Bangladesh lightly as they have simply been superb. The Niger Sultana-led side have shown plenty of character grit in all their four games so far.

On the other hand Mithali Raj-led side have lacked consistency and have found against top teams.

The team now have to win these two matches if they harbor hopes of qualifying.
