Haramanpreet Kaur has backed her team after a disappointing loss in the IND W vs AUS W 2nd T20I. Batting first, the India women’s cricket team succumbed to Australia’s brilliance with the bowl, scoring just 130 runs. Their lackluster performance saw no batter cross the 30-run mark as India settled for a below-par score.
Already 0-1 down in the IND W vs AUS W T20I series, the Aussies didn’t need a second invitation and chased down 131 with ease.
With the series leveled and a poor show with the bat, in the post-match interview, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur praised her bowlers and claimed the lack of ‘experience’ in the side may have hampered them today, but they will improve from here on.
“The score wasn’t enough; still, our bowlers did well, and we took it till the 19th over, which was our biggest positive. We need to think about the areas we need to improve. We were thinking 150 would be a good total, but we kept losing wickets, and Australia bowled really nicely as well. These close games give you areas you need to improve and keep doing the right things. We have seen these type of games a lot of times, and this time we have so many new faces, and we will definitely improve (as a team) with experience.”
