As for the 2nd ODI, it was yet another dominant performance by Rohit Sharma & Co. Even though the toss didn’t go India’s way as the hosts were sent to bat first. India did struggle initially losing Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant cheaply with the score reading 43/3 in 12 overs.
But Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul stitched together a 91-run stand for the fourth wicket to steady the ship. Although KL Rahul missed out on a well-deserved half-century with after run-out on 49, Suryakumar scored his career-best 64 in ODIs. Thanks to their efforts, India posted 237/9 in 50 overs.

We wanted to try it one game. Shikhar should be back for the next game,” said Rohit Sharma said after the match.
