IND vs WI LIVE: Shoaib Akhtar says all Indian pacers miss X-Factor – Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar in a conversation with Australian pacer Brett Lee discussed India’s potential bowling lineup. Shoaib declared that though India has been consistently producing good fast bowlers over the years, however, the Indian bowlers have always lacked a key X-Factor that makes them different from the Pakistani outfits.

  • The recent generation of Indian bowlers has left their mark on the game since their debut.
  • Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have been exceptional for the Men in Blue in all formats of the game.
  • Bumrah has 113 wickets in both Test and ODIs while Shami 209 and 148 wickets in Test and ODIs respectively.
  • Another upcoming fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has also burst into the scene. He has managed to bag 36 wickets in 12 test matches and has been exceptional in the tour of Australia last year.

“There is a difference between Pakistan and India. The Indians are producing good fast bowlers, but what they are lacking is the rare energy – that anger on your face, that attitude that I am going to just kill you,” said Shoaib Akhtar.

Akhtar suggested that food, environment, and the cricket idols that Pakistan have are different from Indians and that is what separates the bowling prowess of the two nations.

“The idols that we have, the food, the environment, the attitude. At the same time, you have people like me who are full of energy. It gives us pleasure to bowl quick,” Akhtar added.

Shoaib Akhtar stressed a lot about the food intake. He suggested that since Pakistani bowlers consume different varieties of meats, it adds to the prowess of the Pakistani bowlers and makes them more devastating.

“You become what you eat, right? My nation eats lots of animals and we end up being like animals. When it comes to fast bowlers, we just run in like lions,” he further explained.

The Cricket team of both nations are currently in different states as far as Cricket is concerned. While the Pakistani players are busy playing in their domestic Pakistan Super League aka PSL, the Indian team is busy preparing for the upcoming 3-match ODI and 3-match T20I series against West Indies.
