IND vs WI LIVE: Mohammed Siraj wins over IPL ghosts, keeps calm in last over to eke out 3-run win for India – Watch Highlights

Mohammed Siraj SUPER SHOW: Mohammed Siraj banished the ghosts of IPL as the Indian pacer defended 15 in the final over to seal a victory for the Men in Blue. Romario Shepherd and Akeal Hossein were in fine touch heading into the 50th over, but Siraj conceded just 12 with a solitary boundary to seal the deal for India.

Siraj’s effort is particularly impressive considering his stuttering IPL campaign earlier this year, where he struggled to make it count at the death. The 28-year-old had an economy of 10.08 and an average of 57 in IPL 2022 in a forgetful season with RCB.

However India’s red ball star converted his performances into white ball cricket when it mattered the most in a decisive final over. With West Indies having lost six straight ODIs, a win against India would have been a blemish on Rahul Dravid’s record and Siraj’s effort saved India the blushes.
