West Indies practice Session- West Indies players hit the net at Ahmedabad; starts practice ahead of first ODI, Follow IND vs WI LIVE Updates on InsideSport.IN The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) uploaded a video on their social media handle which shows the West Indies team practising in the nets. Kieron Pollard’s team arrived in India on Wednesday, 2nd February, and will not have much time to spend in the nets as the series starts on Sunday, 6th February.
The three ODI matches will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 6th, 9th and 11th February. Following that, both teams will travel to Kolkata where they will play three T20I matches at the Eden Gardens – on 16th, 18th and 20th February.

India vs West Indies -Matches to be played behind closed doors; GCA confirms
While the writing was on the wall already, GCA have officially confirmed that the ODI series will be played behind closed doors owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first match will also add another feather in India’s cap as they will become the first team to play 1000 ODI matches.
Considering the current situation, all the matches will be played behind the closed doors.

“Considering the current situation, all the matches will be played behind closed doors. We are all set to host the West Indies Tour of India ODI Series 2022. The 1st ODI on the 6th of Feb will be a very special and historic match as India will be playing its 1000th ODI. The Indian team will be the first cricket team in the world to achieve this feat,” GCA tweeted.
