On Tuesday, the 40-year-old World Cup-winning player uploaded images of the boots on his social media handles alongside a hand-written note for his former teammate, Virat Kohli, who is currently with the Indian camp, practising for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.

“Virat, I’ve seen you grow as a cricketer and as a person. From that young boy in the nets who would walk shoulder-to-shoulder with the legends of Indian cricket, you’re now a legend yourself leading the way for a new generation,” Yuvraj wrote.
The duo have formed many match-winning partnerships for India in the past and always seemed to share a mutual understanding of each other’s game. Besides the national team, the duo has also shared dressing room whilst playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. Reminiscing the yesteryears, Yuvraj further went on to add:
“I’m glad to have shared a bond with you as a teammate and more so a friend.
