In the video going viral on social media platforms, Hardik can be heard saying that ‘I asked for water one over earlier’ before abusing the waterboy. Several users on the post commented that Pandya was cussing India’s young All-rounder Washington Sundar. However, it is not totally confirmed who was given the job to provide drinks to the Indian team on the field.
Meanwhile, Pandya expressed his pleasure with Rohit coming back to lead the squad. The star all-rounder said that he can now focus on himself and try to share his views with the skipper on the field. Pandya also praised Axar Patel for his contributions with the bat and how he has upgraded his game.
“Ro (Rohit Sharma) is back so it is much more relaxed. I can focus more on my well-being and try to share all my knowledge. If they need my help or advice, I’m always there. Body is very good, we are following a plan and the workload is being managed rightly with the WC just 6-7 months away,” Pandya said at pre-match interview.
(On Axar Patel) It has made a big difference, the only request I had from him was more contribution from his batting. He has worked tremendously well, helps my life knowing Axar is after me, helps the team play a certain balance. He’s upped his game massively in the recent past, makes the team feel more confident,” he added.
