In Srilanka’s tour of India, Dasun Shanaka-led Srilanka won the toss and elected to bowl first against India in the first T20I, The host nation batted first and scored 162 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. The visitors were unable to chase down the target and were bowled out for 160 runs. Deepak Hooda was declared of the match for his impressive batting, he scored 41 runs in 23 balls.
