Fired up Mohammed Shami ready for India comeback
Mohammed Shami last featured during the 2022 T20World Cup in Australia. Before the World Cup, Shami was forced to withdraw from India’s T20I team for the home series against Australia and South Africa in September after testing positive for COVID-19.
Post the T20 World Cup the Indian pacer was set to play in Bangladesh but was ruled out of the series due to a shoulder injury just before the opening ODI.
Injury, in general, teaches you to appreciate every moment. I’ve had my share of injuries throughout my career. It’s humbling. It gives you perspective. No matter how many times I’ve been hurt, I’ve learned from that injury and come back even more stronger 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 pic.twitter.com/EsDLZd30Y7

Shami took to social media and posted: “Injury, in general, teaches you to appreciate every moment. I’ve had my share of injuries throughout my career. It’s humbling. It gives you perspective. No matter how many times I’ve been hurt, I’ve learned from that injury and come back even more stronger,”
The Indian pacer had recently posted a video on his Instagram handle where is seen bowling to a batsman in nets. It is hard to tell that he is recovering from injury. He was relentlessly bowling quick and looked battle ready.
The 33-year-old Bengal speedster is an integral part of India’s ODI scheme of things, as the ODI World Cup will be taking place in the country this year. The pacer was a regular member of the ODI squad until 2020.
However, he did not play any ODI games for Team India from November 2020 until July 2022. He was recalled for the 50-over series in England.
