Virat Kohli had a forgettable outing on Tuesday registering a four-ball duck against Sri Lanka. The 33-year-old who seemed to have returned to form with back-to-back fifties but was far from his best against the Islanders.
Walking into bat after the dismissal of KL Rahul, the former India captain went up against left-arm pacer Dilshan Madhushanka playing only his third game. Kohli was tied to the crease in the first three balls and attempted a slog off his fourth, only to play all around it.
The ball crashed into the middle stump sparking wild celebrations from the crowd and Sri Lanka players. Kohli walked back dejectedly to the pavilion with India in trouble having stuttered to 13/2 in the third over.
