IND vs SL LIVE: Bizarre Playing XI by Rohit Sharma & Rahul Dravid, 3 SHOCKING decisions which no fan, cricket expert can DIGEST: Follow INDIA vs SriLanka LIVE
Bizarre Decision Number 1
Opener Ishan Kishan must be sitting thinking in the dugout in Guwahati, as to what more does he need to do to bag a place in the playing XI. In his last ODI innings, Kishan scored the fastest double hundred in ODI history against Bangladesh. Skipper Rohit Sharma at the press conference on Monday, clarified that the team management has decided to go with the consistent Shubman Gill. Ishan was left out of the playing 11, much to the surprise of fans and analysts.
Think fair would have been to give chance to a man who scored a double hundred in India’s last ODI, and in a series where India lost two games and the series.
Have all the time in the world for Gill, but no way you drop a player for scoring a double ton. https://t.co/LbzKKH8ynw— Venkatesh Prasad (@venkateshprasad) January 9, 2023
Bizarre Decision Number 2
Given the form Suryakumar Yadav is in, no one could even dream of excluding him from the playing XI. Team India skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid did the unthinkable. After scoring an incredible century against SriLanka in the 3rd T20 game, no fan or cricket expert could even dream of making SKY warm the benches. Then again, what’s the logic. Only the team management can answer it best.
A mighty batting display from #TeamIndia with Suryakumar Yadav dominating the show with an outstanding 1⃣1⃣2⃣* 🙌 🙌
