The former Indian skipper Virat Kohli has ended his 3-year-long ODI century drought at home. Kohli smashed his 45th ODI ton and 73rd in international cricket. The century in Guwahati was also his 1st century at home since November 2019. Also, this was his 9th ODI hundred against Sri Lanka and now has the most tons against the island nation.

- Kohli overtakes Sachin’s record of 8 centuries against Sri Lanka in ODIs. Kohli now has 9 tons.
- Kohli has 45 ODI tons, only 4 less than Sachin Tendulkar
- Kohli has 73 tons in international cricket, the second-highest in ODIs
The ODI ton in Guwahati, was his second consecutive hundred in the format. He scored his 72nd Century in his last ODI against Bangladesh in Chattogram.
