However, having beaten Pakistan in a low-scoring thriller in the semifinals, the Lankans will ride on the confidence and will hope to break the jinx when they face India on 31st December at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. But they will need their stars to fire in the highly-anticipated clash.

On the other hand, India will eye their eighth title and continue their dominance over Sri Lanka. Harnoor Pannu has been in the run charts while Rajvardhan Hangarekar is the leading wicket-taker for India in this tournament. This leads up to five players to watch out for in the Asia Cup Finals.

1. Harnoor Pannu- The southpaw has performed brilliantly for India at the top of the order. He is also the leading run-scorer in the tournament with 246 runs from 4 matches including a century and a half-century. He averages 61.5 and his strike rate has also been decent throughout. If India want to win the title, they would need Harnoor to play long innings.

2. Dunith Nethmika- The Sri Lankan spinner has rocked the tournament with his ability to take wickets and bowl economic spells. He has claimed 9 wickets from three games at an average of 11.66 and an economy rate of 3.93. In the semifinals against Pakistan, Dunith accounted for three Pak batters and guided his team to victory.

3. Rajvardhan Hangarekar- The Indian all-rounder has shown some mad hitting skills as well as good bowling skills so far in the short tournament. He has claimed seven wickets from 4 games and has struck 97 runs at a strike rate of 194 in four matches. His all-round skills will be needed by India to win the coveted title for the third time in a row.

4. Traveen Mathew- The 17-year-old off-spinner has given nothing to the batters to capitalize on. He has bowled 16 overs and has only conceded 31 runs resulting in an unbelievable economy rate of 1.93. His average is 5.16. He was Sri Lanka’s star in their semifinal victory over Pakistan as he returned with the bowling figures of  10-3-14-4.

5. Shaik Rasheed- The Indian batter played an unbeaten 90-run innings to help Indian post a good total on the board in the semifinals against Bangladesh. He has scored decent runs for Indian at an average of 45.67 and will play a crucial role in the finals against Sri Lanka.
