IND vs SL 3rd ODI Live: Major changes for India; Coach Rahul Dravid hands debut to Samson, Rana, Gowtham, Sakariya & Chahar – Team India coach Rahul Dravid decided to give a debut to five Indian players in the third and final match of the three-match series against Sri Lanka here at the R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Friday. Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Chetan Sakariya, Rahul Chahar and Krishnappa Gowtham will be making their debut in the final match of the series.

In the video posted by BCCI, captain Shikhar Dhawan can be seen giving cap to Sanju Samson while Yuzvendra Chahal gave it to Nitish Rana. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar gave cap to Chetan Sakariya, Krishnappa Gowtham received cap from Hardik Pandya while Deepak Chahar gave cap to his younger brother Rahul Chahar.
This is only the second time that India having five debutants in an ODI. In 1980 against Australia at the MCG Dilip Doshi, Kirti Azad, Roger Binny, Sandeep Patil & Tirumalai Srinivasan made their debuts in the same match.

Sanju Samson, who plays for Kerala in domestic cricket, has finally got his chance to play for India in ODI cricket. The wicket-keeper batsman has played seven T20I for Team India.
Left-hand batsman Nitish Rana, who represents Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL will be playing for Tema India for the first time while Rajasthan Royals’ Chetan Sakariya has also been included in the playing XI. All-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham and Rahul Chahar are also given chance in the dead rubber.
