Cricket Scotland took to its official Twitter handle to share some snaps of the Indian star players Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah & R Ashwin sharing their experience and insights of playing at the top level against some of the best in the business.
India boosted their net run rate for the semis race. While India’s bowlers bowled out Scotland for 85, the openers Kl Rahul’s 50 off 19 and Rohit Sharma’s 30 off 16 ensured India surpassed Afghanistan in NRR by chasing the target in just 6.3 overs.

Opting to bowl, India battered Scotland batsmen with the spin attack. Ravindra Jadeja bagged three wickets while Varun Chakravarthy and Ashwin bagged a wicket apiece while Mohammed Shami’s 3/15 and Jasprit Bumrah’s 2/10 meant, Scotland folded in 85 runs.
India needed to chase down the target in 7.1 overs to surpass Afghanistan in NRR. In reply, Virat Kohli & Co. chased down the target in 6.3 overs with KL Rahul hitting the fastest fifty of the tournament in just 18 balls.

Team India is now sitting third in Group 2 behind table topper Pakistan and second-place New Zealand. Virat Kohli & Co. will be keeping a close eye on the clash between Afghanistan & New Zealand for a clear idea of their journey to the semi-finals.
“A dominating performance, something that we were striving to do again. Now it will be interesting to see what happens on 7th (November). Don’t want to say a lot about today’s performance, we know what we can do,” said Virat Kohli after the win.
The Men in Blue will now play their final Super 12 round fixture on November 08 against Namibia in Dubai.
