IND vs SA Test: Rohit Sharma's return to India Cricket Team becomes short lived, India skipper dismissed for 5 runs

India Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma’s return to Team India has been poor. Rohit who returns to the squad after the ODI World Cup Final had a lacklustre return. He was dismissed cheaply for 5 runs by playing a wayward pull shot. The visitors got off to a rather poor start after Rohit’s dismissal.

South Africa’s pace express Kagiso Rabada dismissed the Indian skipper. Rohit Sharma trying to play his tradional trademark pull shot got dismissed.

Rohit Sharma returned to the India Cricket Team after the ODI World Cup debacle. Rohit took a short break from white-ball cricket before returning to this IND vs SA Test series at the Final Frontier.

Rohit Sharma Dismissal

Rohit Sharma was the first batter to be dismissed. He got off to a good start by hitting a solid boundary. But then Kagiso Rabada targetted Rohit with a short of a length delivery.

Rohit fancying his chance decided to got full beans on the ball. Though he was pleasantly surprised by the short ball he decided to approach it with his go-to shot.

There was a not a proper connection with the bat. The ball took the aerial route as Nandre Burger positioned at fine leg takes a good catch to dismiss the Indian star batter.

Coming to the match, South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first. India lost 3 wickets in quick succession as Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill walked back to the pavilion without causing much trouble.
