IND vs SA T20 Series: Harbhajan, Sehwag ‘Unhappy, Disappointed’ with SHOCK OMISSION of Rahul Tripathi from Indian Squad for SA T20 Series
India Squad SA T20 – Why Rahul Tripathi not in squad? The announcement saw the return of Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik back into the Indian team.

However shocking Rahul Tripathi has been ignored despite putting up good show during ongoing IPL. This has left former cricketer Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh disappointed.

Rahul Tripathi IPL 2022: In this season, Tripathi has scored 413 runs in 14 matches at an average of almost 38. Most impressive is his Strike-Rate i.e almost 158
The tally also comprises three half-centuries with a top score of 76.
Like Bhajji, Sehwag is also surprised with Tripathi’s omission from the Indian team.
He compared Tripathi’s situation to that of Suryakumar Yadav. The Mumbai Indians batter kept knocking on the doors of the selectors over the last few years. But could make it to the Indian team only in 2021.
“I think we were saying the same thing about Suryakumar last year. Patience is a virtue,” he told Cricbuzz.
Earlier, Australia legend Matthew Hayden also backed Tripathi to make the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup as well.
“I just love his ability to go hard upfront. The way Tripathi is taking the responsibility to strike the ball hard is brilliant. I think he has the real potential in the future to go all the way to the international level,” Hayden told Star Sports few days back.
