Notably, Waghela is a local cricketer from Delhi, who trains under Devdutt & Ashok Kumar at the Venkateshwar Cricket Academy. He also happens to be a part of Delhi’s U16 team. With South Africa being short on orthodox left-arm spinners, Waghela has been called up to be a net bowler.

Speaking to Cricketgraph, the youngster said “It’s a big opportunity to bowl to some top class international players. It is an experience which will remain with me for a long time. The South African team was not only very profession but also very warm and generous.”

Speaking about his experience of bowling to the South African stars, the youngster further added “The way these batters do their shot selection and immediately pick up line and length is something I learned immediately as a bowler. You need to be on the top of your game and continuously improve. These are few lessons I learnt because batters at international level are always skilled enough to take you on.”

Meanwhile, the series will commence on June 9, with Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium set to host the first match. The next four matches will be played at Cuttack, Vizag, Rajkot and Bengaluru respectively.
