David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen steamrolled India’s bowling attack in Delhi with a mammoth 131-run stand to win the match by 7 wickets. While South Africa will carry the confidence, Parnell said it will be about adapting to the new conditions.
“Obviously, it was a great win the other night and we can take a lot of confidence from it but now a brand new venue, new conditions so we have to adapt and start fresh,” Wayne Parnell said.

- As international cricket is returning to Cuttack after three years, OCA began preparations well in advance.
- OCA installed special LED floodlights for the match.
- The stadium also underwent a makeover with a paint job.
- The OCA also purchased Rs 78 lakh worth of ground cover to prevent damage to the outfield in case of rain.
- But Sujan Mukherjee who was flown in from Kolkata to assist in training to use the ground cover is very unhappy.
- As per him, people are entering the ground freely and damaging the lush grass cover.

South Africa had their first practice session at a hit and humid Barabati Stadium on Saturday. While Aiden Markram is expected to be out after contracting Covid ahead of the 1st T20, it was about understanding the conditions.
“It is difficult to assess the pitch. The side strip was pretty green and with overhead conditions, it did swing around a bit. Maybe for the seamers, there will be a little bit with the new ball. But the actual wicket, we have to see how it is on the matchday,” Parnell said.
As for Markram, Proteas will need to wait. Markram will have to complete five-days of mandatory isolation period before being eligible for selection.
“I am not sure when he is available but he seems pretty good. I think doctors are more qualified to give you information on that,” Parnell said.
