Ahead with 1-0, Virat Kohli & Co will look to seal their first-ever Test series win on South African soil when they meet the Proteas tomorrow.
India have never lost a Test match at the Wanderers, and Virat Kohli & Co will try to maintain the streak this week.
The likes of Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Mayank Agarwal, Hanuma Vihari batted for long sessions at the nets as India is leaving no stone unturned to achieve the milestone.
Rishabh Pant’s bat has been quiet for some time now and the left-handed wicket-keeper batter will be hoping to contribute big with the bat too.
It also has to be seen whether India continues with the same combination or undergoes a couple of changes. Looking at the change in conditions, India is expected to with Umesh Yadav in place of Shardul Thakur.
The tourists might also rest R Ashwin to fit in Hanuma Vihari or an extra batting option as the Wanderers’ surface is unlikely to assist any help to spinners.

The hosts South Africa too trained hard at the nets on Sunday. With Quinton de Kock’s sudden Test retirement, Proteas are set to rope in wicket-keeper batter Kyle Verreynne into the playing XI.
Verreynne did some catching drills in Proteas final training session on Sunday.

The likes of Lungi Ngidi and Centurion debutant Marco Jansen too fine-tuned their pace bowling skills as per the Wanderers’ surface.
Jansen has received a maiden ODI call after an impressive debut in the opening Test where he returned with five wickets in total, including the prized scalp of India Test skipper Virat Kohli.
The pitch has a lot of grass and seamers are expected to get a lot of assistance from the surface.
India have never lost a match in the longest format of the game at the Wanderers, Johannesburg. Out of the five-Test matches played at the venue, team India has won two while three have ended in a draw. Virat Kohli & Co will try to maintain the streak this week when they face off Proteas tomorrow.
