IND vs SA 2nd ODI: Team India especially KL Rahul survived a host of chances while batting first on Friday. The first one came as early as the fifth over of the innings, with Janneman Malan dropping KL Rahul at the gully of Ngidi. That drop proved costly as India started off briskly, with the openers putting on a 50-run stand for the first wicket.
KL Rahul was again the benefactor when Keshav Maharaj and Andile Phehlukwayo messed up a simple run out chance after a comedy of errors saw Rishabh Pant and the Indian captain at the same end. That miss again proved costly as the duo put on a stunning 115-run partnership for the 3rd wicket.

IND vs SA 2nd ODI: KL Rahul had his third reprieve of the game when Aiden Markram, one of South Africa’s best fielders dropped him at backward point. The Indian opener slashed hard at a Phehlukwayo delivery only for Markram to hand him another life.
Lungi Ngidi also had a chance that went begging after Venkatesh Iyer hit one straight at a leaping Rassie van der Dussen, who failed to hold onto the catch.
Later Ravichandran Ashwin also survived a difficult chance after David Miller spilled a diving catch after hitting the ground on his follow-through. Miller had done well to cover the ground and pluck the catch out of thin air but the impact of his fall meant that the ball slipped through his grasp giving Ashwin a life.
