Rassie van der Dussen continues to make giant strides in white-ball cricket with yet another half-century against India on Sunday. In just 27 innings in ODIs, the Proteas ace has scored 10 half-centuries to go along with two centuries. With his innings in Cape Town on Sunday, the 32-year-old has taken his average beyond 79, in what has been a Don Bradman-like start to his short career so far.
Such is Dussen’s consistency that he has scored over 200 runs before finally being dismissed. Rassie scored a career-best 129 in the first ODI in Paarl and followed it up with an unbeaten 37 in the second ODI to see his team over the line. In his last five ODIs at home, Rassie van der Dussen has scored two fifties and two hundreds in what is a purple patch of a form by the South African star.
